Young Galadriel

Galadriel in her youth as a student of Aulë, in the days when she also excelled at wrestling and was known as Nerwen: ‘Man-maiden’.

Aulë still thinks the size and shape he gave Dwarves has a lot going for it.  He put in a lot of development time!  I decided though that he would prefer robust stony skin to flesh.

Pp tells me that Aulë in this painting looks rather like Mick Fleetwood, of Fleetwood Mac.  This is excellent, and makes me think that during the Music of the Ainur,  Aulë played drums.
