Things Seen in 2018

1) a procession of Victorian steam-rollers wearing L-plates, to signify that they were conducted by learner drivers.

2) An enormous black and white Harlequin Great Dane sitting outside the pasty shop like a Very Good Dogg without a lead on, waiting for his owner to return with pasties.

Sounds like the year is off to a good start. It's -22 here and I haven't seen much more than my phone and a bowl of muesli.

-22! Blimey!

It's damp here today and forecast is heavy rain tomorrow, so I don't suppose I shall be seeing any more steam-rollers.

Happy New Year :)

So far I just see the screen of my computer and phone, too hot here to go outside

It's definitely not too hot here! More too damp.

My cousin's Labrador's Christmas was marked by his meeting a friendly Great Dane when out for a walk. He was disconcerted by meeting a dog larger than he was, but the Great Dane apparently just wanted to cuddle everybody, however many legs they had.

They are very friendly giant gormless things. I'm not sure Rosie even registered it as a dog, rather than a kind of horse...
