'Two lurchers close at heel'.

Sun setting behind Bodmin moor as the light was going, and the mist began to come up and I began to wonder if the hounds were planning to make a night of it... (Rosie did come back! I'm counting that as a win even though I would have preferred her to come back before it got dark and I fell over.  :-/ )

Very atmospheric!

Good that Rosie remembered to come back, even if it took her a while... Every successful recall is a new neural pathway forged! We can hope.

I comfort myself with the thought that a year ago, Brythen would certainly have gone with her, and that if I had walked away, she would not have noticed I'd gone.

Whereas yesterday, I called Brythen back with no problems at all, started back to the car park, on the reasoning that it would be better to get there before the light went entirely - and about 5 minutes later, she came haring after me at top saluki-speed and flung herself at me with body language that said 'COMEBACKCOMEBACKCOMEBACK YOU FORGOT MEEEEEE!' Which is a definite improvement.

Still NOT going offlead anywhere that isn't fenced!
